Refreshing Expired ABBYY NFR Keys

Umango's ABBYY NFR licenses have a usage period that will expire periodically and needs to be renewed. This process is relatively quick and simple to complete and can be done in a few clicks within the ABBYY License Manager which installs with Umango.

If you see an error message similar to the one below, you will need to perform a license refresh.

To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Launch the ABBYY License Manager which is typically found at the path below.
   C:\Program Files\Umango\23\ocr\LicenseManager.exe
2. Select the expired license (which should be the only license) from the list of licenses
3. Press the "Update License" button
4. Follow the update wizard (either online or via email)
5. Once the process is complete, the license expiry will be extended. The new expiry date will be display against the license.

Please Note: This process is only applicable to NFR licenses and will not work on expired Trial licenses. Trial licenses are not extendable.
